City Shamba is a disruptive Initiative aiming to present urban areas as part of the solution to the problems of hunger and malnutrition. It is a timely intervention, especially during the current Climate Pandemic, when our food systems have been disrupted. Food security is a major challenge for many globally. People are now looking into where their food comes from, how it is grown and the cost of putting a meal on the table.

The initiative provides an opportunity for communities to have access to sufficient, safe, nutritious, organic, healthy and affordable food through innovative, organic and regenerative agriculture. When we teach and enable more people to participate in food production, more food will be produced, lowering the hunger levels in our societies. This will make our communities and the world a better place. .
